Synopsis:
Starting a career as a counsellor/psychotherapist can be incredibly gratifying and sometimes “nerve-wrecking” too! It challenges you to consider your own values, vulnerabilities, and virtues while it allows you the awesome opportunity to impact the lives of individuals, couples, and families of all ages profoundly. You can listen, process, and guide them through various issues, ranging from developmental, interpersonal, situational, emotional, psychological, educational, and, vocational and build their resilience to help them tackle such matters independently.
However, while a career as a counsellor/psychotherapist may be rewarding, it also requires immense dedication, discipline, and durability. Our Speaker, Rev Sam Kuna, will introduce the 6 stages in the development of a counsellor/psychotherapist formed out of his more than 35 years of practice, to unfold the question “The Counselling Journey – “Where do I fit in?” Come and be inspired to go further in your personal journey, whether you are a counsellor-in-training, a beginning practitioner, or an experienced practitioner/psychotherapist.
